BIG NEWS for CT Dietitians!
As of April 1, 2025, Certified Dietitian-Nutritionists in Connecticut can now enroll as Medicaid providers through the Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP), including HUSKY Health.
Here’s What You Need to Know:
You must be certified by the CT Department of Public Health (DPH) before enrolling.
Enrollment is open now, but services will be reimbursable starting July 1, 2025.
Enroll online at www.ctdssmap.com → “Provider” → “Provider Enrollment”.
You’ll need:
NPI (taxonomy 374J00000X)
DPH Certification #
Tax ID and banking info
Office address (home offices must meet privacy requirements)
Contact email (used for all future communication)
Providers must maintain all records securely for 7 years.
TIP: Have all your documents ready before starting—the system does not save incomplete applications, and you’ll get logged out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
Once enrolled, you'll receive a Welcome + PIN letter to create your secure web account for eligibility checks, claims, and more.
Additional details are TBD for the time being. We do not have clear answers on reimbursement rates, visit benefits, and covered diagnoses.
Need help? Call the Provider Assistance Center at 1-800-842-8440 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm) or visit: Provider enrollment page.
This is a huge step forward for access and equity in nutrition care—and for our profession. Let’s make the most of it!
