Please find attached the newly developed CDR Credentialing Tips that describe and answer credentialed practitioners inquires. This documents was revised in November 2021 after many practitioners were unclear on the limitations and restrictions of using the RD, RDN, DTR, NDTR credential in their personal and business practices. Credentialing Tips-Using the RD RDN DTR NDTR Credential Nov 2021
In short, we can all use our credentials for our website domain, email address, business name, business cards etc. as long as we don’t TRADEMARK the credentials with the USPTO (United States Postmark and Trademark Office) as this trademark belongs to CDR. There are a few other stipulations on prohibited use that they added in, which you can review in the attached document.
